Law Professor & Socio-legal Scholar

I am an internationally recognized socio-legal scholar and award-winning author. With a doctoral degree in sociology from Princeton University and a JD from the University of Pennsylvania, I have passions for legal doctrine and for law “in practice.” I also have over 15 years of experience teaching law and currently serve as the Edward L. Carmody Professor of Law at the University of Iowa.
